Support
Support the room.
You do not need money to help. The single best thing for Toronto Thursday Talks is a full room of sharp, curious people, and new faces every month. Here is how to keep that going, plus a couple of ways to chip in if you want to.
Free ways to help
All of these are worth more than a donation, and they cost nothing.
Show up
A full room is the whole product. Coming is the most useful thing you can do.
Bring someone new
New voices keep the conversation fresh. Drag a colleague along, especially a first-timer.
Propose a topic
Put a question up for the group to vote on. The best nights come from member questions.
Share the brief
Forward the monthly recap, or tell one person who would fit. Word of mouth is how we grow.
Make an introduction
Know a café that could host, or a business that would sponsor? A warm intro goes a long way.
Say something honest
Tell us what worked and what did not. We would rather be told than guess.
The monthly brief
Each month we write up the debate, the sharpest arguments on both sides, and send it out. It is a good read even if you could not make the room, and sharing it is the easiest way to support us. Free, and no spam.
You're on the list
Look out for the next brief. If your email app opened, just hit send to confirm.
Want to chip in?
We keep the door low by design and let sponsors cover the rest, so we never lean on the people in the room. If you would like to help cover a night, the coffee, or the space, get in touch and we will find a simple way to do it. Every bit keeps the door open for the next person.
